As a charitable organisation, Riverfront Theatre Company works hard to fundraise throughout the year. In addition to raising money for our operation, it also works really well to raise awareness of the group – letting people know who we are and what we’re doing.
As an ONGOING fundraising source, we have a RedBubble account, where we upload our posters, logos, and inspirational slogans, always available for shopping. All of the 2015-2016 season posters have been uploaded – check out our portfolio for a variety of t-shirts, mugs, bags, stickers, and so on, if you’re interested!
At the end of August, we held our second annual car wash. It was a huge success, raising approximately $750 in one short day. That makes a difference!
On October 30th, we held our annual Hallowe’en Bowlathon, a long-standing Riverfront tradition. With donated prizes for Best Costume, Funniest Costume, and Most Funds Raised, and two hours of bowling at Rose Bowl Lanes, who supports us every year with this event, it’s one of our most popular RTC events. It’s a fantastic time for the kids to reach out to neighbours and friends outside their immediate families for support for the group in small donations, while letting them know about our upcoming shows! We are delighted to announce that we raised $2300 for this season at this year’s Bowlathon!
On January 16, 2016, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., we will hold a pancake breakfast fundraiser at Applebee’s at the corner of Walker and Division Road. More details about this will soon be found here – it’s entirely likely to be a costumed event again, as that seemed to be fun for everyone.
